Academic/Professional experience, and Achievements: 

Lucia was awarded her PhD in political science at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest in 2011. Her dissertation examined migration patterns from and to the eight CEE countries in the process of economic restructuring and institutional change in the region. Her research focuses generally on the political economy of transition, and specifically on labor migration in transition economies, foreign direct investment, automotive industry, and diversities of capitalism in Central Europe. In the past, Lucia taught at the Comenius University in Bratislava and worked as a teaching assistant for various courses at CEU. As a consultant, she participated on the World Bank project about employment patterns of Roma in the Czech Republic.
